英辞郎EIJIRO

eBOOKが読める環境になったということで、欲が出て来たのもあって、英辞郎の和英辞典をeBOOK化してみる。手順は、まず英辞郎をダウンロード。今は有料なのね。で、テキストの方をネットにあるPerlのプログラムで削った後、PDIC for Win32でCSVに変換。これをUTF-8に変換後、HTMLに変換して、あとはeBOOK CreatorなどでeBOOKに変換。結構複雑な作業ですが、辞書はどうしょうもないですね。

I made an Eijiro Japanese-English dictionary to an eBOOK because I secured an eBOOK environment and desired to install Japanese dictionary. The procedure is to download "Eijiro" that is paid now. I eliminated the Japanese English text file with a perl program on the internet. And then I transfered it to CSV with PDIC for WIN32, and transfered to HTML. Finally, I created eBOOK with a creator. It was complex operation, but there is no help for dictionaries.

スケジューラScheduler

スケジューラとしてHandy Calenderを導入。見た目がかわると、機能的には大した差が無くても何となくかなりレベルアップした感じがする。一緒にHandy Taskmanもレジストしてみる。メモリ内容とか、同時起動アプリ一覧とかソフトウエアのブックマークとしても使えるので、結構便利かも。

I installed Handy Calender as a scheduler. When the look changes fairly, it seems to be improved even if the function doesn't change at all. I registered Handy Taskman at once. It is very convenient because the software can visualize the memory condition and started applications' list, can provide software bookmarks.

eBOOK

eBOOKに凝っているかも。きっかけはE71用に辞書を探していたら、MobiReaderというフリーソフトを見つけたことですが、このソフトすごいかもしれない。辞書専用ソフト使ってはみましたが、内蔵辞書そのものが気にいらなかったのもあって、とりあえずeBOOKで手持ちで持っていないLongmanとCollinsの英英辞典（とシソーラス）を入れてみました。あと、PC側にもソフトを入れて、一定時間で更新されるWebサイトをeNewsとしてE71に自動転送させたり、これまで通り日経テレコンなどのコピぺテキストをこのソフトへドラッグして、eBOOKとしてE71で閲覧するなど、昔CLIE TG-50でやっていた環境が蘇った感じ。

I am interested in eBOOK. The beginning was that I found a software called "MobiReader" when I was looking for a dictionary for E71. This software is great. I used an exclusive dictionary but I didn't like the built-in dictionary. I installed the Longman and the Collins dictionaries and thesaurus for the time being. And then I installed it my PC to send web site's autopiloted data to E71 automatically as an eNews. And I can read a textdata that I copy from Nikkei Telecom and drag to PC's MobiReaderin E71. I remember reading news in CLIE TG-50.

シェアですが（若干15ドル）、Resco Photo Viewerを入れてみました。いやー、高速で快適ですね。やっぱりE71のハードウエア自体が、これまでの携帯電話と比べても非常に高速で動いてくれるというのはあるのかもしれない。これだけさくさく動いてくれると、いろいろ良さもあったけど今までWindows Mobile機でやっていたのがすげー馬鹿らしいかも。

I installed a share ware "Resco Photo Viewer for S60 3rd". Mmm, it is very fast and comfortable. I might be that E71 has higher a hardware spec than former mobile phones'. If it performs fast such as this, to have done until now even in Windows Mobile phones that have good points might seem to be stupid.

Opera mini

Opera miniを導入してみました。ちともっさりしていますが、Windows Mobile用のモノよりさくさく動いて良いかも。基本的にSmartPhoneでWebサイトを見ることは少ないですけど、使い易いにこしたことは無いですね。ただ、やっぱり問題になるのは、ネット接続用の回線の確保ですね。都市部は無線LANのアクセスポイントがあるので、そこそこ良いかと思うけど、やっぱり地方は携帯電話回線しか無いんだよなー。但し、高速回線が確保できれば、E71は最強だと思いますね。

I introduced "Opera Mini" to E71. It performs slowly, but it is moderately comfortable because it is faster than Windows Mobile's. I have less browsing web sites in a cell phone, but you had better be easily usable. The problem is to secure a line for connecting an internet after all. The environment about internet connection in a city is better than the countries because there are WLAN access points in the urban area. The rural area has only a cell phone's line like Willcom etc. But if you secure a broadband line, I think that E71 is the best.

内蔵カメラBuilt-in Camera

E71には320万画素のデジカメが内蔵されていますが、どうもマクロモードが作動せず、近接域でのフォーカスが効かないような気がしますね。ハードの故障なのか、それともソフト的な対応なのかは不明なんですけど、スペックでは10～30cmの近接撮影ができるとあるので、ちょっと気持ち悪いかも。まぁ、そもそもNokiaの携帯電話でカメラを期待したことは無いので（おそらく顔写真以外は使わない）、そう問題にはなりそうに無いんだけど。（2008/7/26）。AFじゃないんだなー。

E71 is equipped with a 320 megapixel digital camera, but my E71 has trouble in a macro mode. The AF does not perform in the macro area. I do not know that it might be a hardware failure or no software correspondence, I feel sick because "10-30cm Macro Mode" is declared in the specification. Well, I think that it will not be the problem because I do not expect to use a digital camera with Nokia's cell phone(maybe only for face images).

環境構築 Construct Environment

注文していた液晶保護フィルムとUSB充電ケーブルが届く（香港発送で、担当者がiPhone購入の為に日本に来ていたみたいで、意外と時間がかかったかも）。液晶画面は基本的にカバーが無いので、電話で使っているとすぐ汚れますね。USB充電ケーブルはNokia純正みたいだけど、結構安かったかな。あと、便利メール用のGmailの設定。E71の場合は、Gmailのメルアドとパスワードを設定すると、自動的にネットからセッティングをダウンロードして設定してしまうので、面倒な送受信サーバーなどの設定が不要だったりする。なかなか賢いかもしれない。さて、E71には標準のマップが付いていますが、いまいちなのでGoogleマップに換えてみました。無線LAN環境下ではこれは最強ですね。GPSもあっという間に受信して位置を確認、高速スクロール、周辺の検索などこれは素晴らしいかも。

A screen protecting film and a USB charger cable were arrived(from Hong Kong, the shipment delayed because a person in charge visited in Japan). When I use my E71 in phone, its screen stains soon because of no cover. The USB charger cable is a genuine part of Nokia but cheaper than I expected. I configured a Gmail for a convenient email. In case of the E71, it doesn't need to set mail servers for send and receive, if you set only Gmail's address and password in the mailer. It was very smart. By the way, the E71 has a standard map, but I didn't be satisfied. So I installed a Google Map. Using in a WLAN environment, it might be the strongest map software. It received GPS info quickly and its map was displayed in no time. High speed scroll and periphery search, it is great.

やっぱり無理なのか？Impossible After All?

E71用の通話用にSBのプリペイドSIMを申し込んでみました。プリペイドで最低3000円で2ヶ月使用可能。但し、通話は6秒9円なので33分程度しか通話できず。着信は無料なので着信専用か。E71のようなSIMフリーの海外の3G対応携帯では通話が出きて、Eメールができない（SB向けのSMSは送受信できるらしい）のは何となく知っていましたが、とりあえず試すために1ヶ月300円のEメールやり放題サービスに申し込んでみたけど、やっぱりできなくて挫折。うーん、うーん、微妙かも。

I applied a Softbank 3G prepaid SIM service. It needs minimum 3000 yen prepaid charges, but I can speak over a phone only 33 minutes because of charging 9 yen per 6 seconds. Because a receipt is free, it might be only for an receipt. I knew that it can talk at a SIM free cell phone like an E71, and it might not use Email(it can use SMS to SB users), but I applied an Email free service that it charges 300 yen per a month, I couldn't use it after all. Mmm, it is subtle.

宿題Homework

今日は一日書き物系英語教育。講師はこの分野の大家である某有名な教授で、うちの会社もかなり前から講師として呼んでいるらしいのだが、講義では生徒にどんどん当てまくって厳しいのが有名。で、初日だというのにやっぱり教授のペースであっちゃこっちゃガンガン進んでしまい、あとの復習が大変だなぁ。講義をやっている間に、ここも宿題、あそこも宿題みたいにどんどん宿題が出て、それも納期が6日間。うーん、英会話以上に厳しいかも。

I received a class lesson of a writing technique today. The certain instructor(a famous professor) was a specialist in the field, our company had invited him to teach us for several years. It was famous a severe lecture as he let an attendant answer something repeatedly. Well, the review might be hard because the lecture was progressed fast at the pace of the professor as expected. During the lecture, many parts in three textbooks were marked as homework one after another even from the first day. Besides, the deadline was after 6 days. Mmm, it is harder than an English conversation course.

WILLCOMやめたらIf stop WILLCOM

何も考えずにWILLCOMをやめたら、ネット回線確保が大変になったかも。まぁ、大変というか昔みたいに携帯通信に戻せば良いんだけど。ということで、W61KとPCをUSBケーブルで繋いでかなり久しぶりにPacket通信を試してみる。PCにドライバを入れて接続し、PacketWINの専用電話番号とIDであっけなくダイアルアップ設定完了。接続も問題無し。ただ、Blogへの投稿は携帯からメールすれば良いことに気づいたのは、かなり経ってからだったかも。

I stopped a WILLCOM line without thinking about anything, so it became hard to secure a line for a network. Well, I had better to replace a communication of a cell phone as in the past. And then, I tried a Packet communication to connect W61K and PC with a USB cable for a long time. I installed a driver to PC and connected them, and finished to configure a dial-up networking with a telephone number of PacketWIN and a special ID. It was no problem about the connection. But I realized that a contribution to a Blog was possible to email it from a cell phone after a long time passed.
